I care about the work while keeping it efortless.
I’m Jakub Pataky, but most people just call me Pathy. I’m a designer and illustrator from Slovakia, drawn to bold images, strange worlds and ideas with a bit of life in them.
Most of the time I work independently, closly with the idea and also the process of making. When something needs more hands, I bring in people I trust and keep the team as big as it needs to be.

Working worldwide
Find the thing.
Give it character.
Make it work.
I usually start by looking for the part of an idea that has some energy — the detail, tension or the odd bit that makes it feel like its own thing. Once that is clear, the rest falls into place.
I like talking things through, collecting references and making rough versions early. Sketches and prototypes tell us more than a long presentation ever will, so the process stays open, practical, and moving.
Finding the voice, shape and rules that make a brand feel like itself — then building a system people can actually use.
Projects with a clear point of view: identities, cultural work, editorial images, expressive websites and the occasional idea that does not fit neatly into a category.
Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, Aseprite and Procreate with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, Next.js, GSAP / Framer Motion when the work moves into the browser.
I’m taking on a small number of identity, illustration and digital projects for late 2026. The idea does not need to be perfectly figured out before you get in touch.
